Hotel Valencia Riverwalk Launches Naranja Tequila and Mezcal Bar
SAN ANTONIO, March 3, 2022 –- Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is launching the Naranja Tequila and Mezcal Bar, a one-of-a-kind cocktail lounge that offers a selection of tequilas and mezcals not found elsewhere in San Antonio. The distinctive theme of Naranja offers visitors and locals alike a unique place to enjoy and learn about different tequilas and mezcals.

Naranja offers a creatively curated menu of blanco, reposado, añejo and cristalino tequilas, as well as an extensive list of mezcals. The bar showcases some of Mexico’s most beloved tequila and mezcal brands. Just a few of these include LALO, Clase Azul, Casamigos, Tears of Llorona, Maestro Dobel, Tres Generaciones, Del Maguey Vida, Dos Amigos and Casas Dragones. These iconic brands represent the work of some of the finest master tequila makers in Mexico.
In addition to offering tequila and mezcal served straight up and in flights for sipping, Naranja’s menu also includes a variety of signature tequila and mezcal cocktails, and a tapas menu of small plates that complement the tequila and mezcal offerings. Naranja also features the Latin jazz sounds of the trio Fuego, led by Jean-philippe Rominger. Fuego performs in Naranja Thursday through Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m..
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk General Manager Safet Dokara noted that tequila and mezcal continue to grow in popularity. “In many ways, tequila is the new ‘It’ distilled spirit in the U.S.,” he said. “It’s gaining a following similar to what scotch has enjoyed over the past couple of decades.

Naranja is open Thursday-Saturday, 5 p.m. to midnight. Naranja patrons enjoy complimentary valet parking at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. The hotel and bar are located at 150 E. Houston Street in downtown San Antonio.
