San Antonio artist, Dr. Jane Appleby, works in the field of medicine as an Internist who also has a passion for art. She believes there is a connection between art and medicine, in the sense that they both require consistency and practice in order to be mastered and also believes that art, like medicine, can offer healing. She specializes in painting and stone sculpture. Her painting plays with color, texture, and different methods of applying paint to canvas while her sculptures act as an interactive, physical, three dimensional journey with stone. Her work is on display through March 2010.
